Judge will allow victims of Palestinian terror to sue Biden administration

A federal judge will allow a lawsuit to proceed against the Biden administration over its alleged support of Palestinian terrorism.

The plaintiffs, victims of Palestinian terror and Texas Republican Ronny Jackson, argue Biden is illegally subsidizing acts of terror through financial aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Judge lets Biden lawsuit proceed

America First Legal, which brought the lawsuit, says Biden is violating a Trump-era law, the Taylor Force Act, and a more recent ban that Congress imposed on financial aid to the largest aid organization in Gaza, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA.)

In March, Congress cut off aid to the UNRWA over its ties to Hamas, which extended to some aid workers participating in the terror group's Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

America First Legal contends that the Biden administration has supported Palestinian terrorism by sending $1.5 billion to Gaza and the West Bank, including $1 billion to the UNRWA.

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas found that the Biden administration's support for the UNRWA is "undiminished" despite its terrorism ties.

At a March briefing, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller praised "the important work that [UNRWA] continues to do to deliver humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians who desperately need it."

Victims praise ruling

President Trump ended support for the UNRWA and signed the Taylor Force Act, which bars financial aid to the Palestinian Authority until it ends the "pay to slay" program, which pays money to the families of Palestinian terrorists.

The Taylor Force Act was named after an American tourist and veteran who was killed in Israel by Palestinian terrorists. Then-vice president Biden was in Israel at the time, not far from where Force was killed.

At the time, the Obama administration said Biden "condemned in the strongest possible terms the brutal attack" and "expressed his sorrow at the tragic loss of American life." Robbi and Stuart Force, the parents of Taylor Force, hailed the court ruling allowing Biden to be sued over the Taylor Force Act.

“We were very upset that the Biden Administration has been violating the Taylor Force Act, named in honor of Taylor, our loving son and patriotic American," they said.

Biden has cited the Palestinian Authority as the ideal future ruler of Gaza and the West Bank when the Israel-Hamas war is over.
