Bill Maher admits most newsrooms won't allow Republican viewpoints

 November 9, 2024

The mainstream media is so in the tank for the left that even some high-profile leftists are saying it out loud.

That was evidenced recently by liberal late-night host Bill Maher who, according to Breitbart, admitted out loud that most major newsrooms simply won't allow any guests that do not agree with them politically.

There have been countless examples of newsroom bias against those who support President-elect Donald Trump. It's played out in front of our faces for years.

Maher made a recent example out of "Saturday Night Live," arguing that the show's cast members are primarily supporters of Vice President Kamala Harris.

What did he say?

Maher pointed out that if any of SNL's cast member were supporters of President Trump, they likely wouldn't dare say it out loud.

His point was that the media is so biased and in the tank for one side these days that it has become dangerous.

“I’m sure every single member of the ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast was a Harris supporter. But what if one of them wasn’t? What if one of those cast members was for Trump, would they have felt comfortable saying so? I really don’t think so. They would’ve had to keep it to themselves. That’s not a good place for us to be. … And that happens even more on the left," Maher said.

He made several more examples of major media outlets and institutions where it seems as if it's for liberals only.

He added, "It’s not just the ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast that all is one thing. The guy who left NPR, remember, he said it was like 87 of 88 people there were on the exact same page. Twitter before Elon took over — now, it’s obviously the reverse — but that was like 99% Democrat."

"You can’t have the — Harvard. You can’t have all these places, the ‘newsrooms’ in America, where nobody is allowed who doesn’t think exactly like you, just cleaving to the one true opinion.”

Things are changing

The fact that most establishment media newsrooms are heavily biased toward the left is no surprise, but the landscape of how consumers get their news has also changed.

X, formerly Twitter, is now the most sough-after source for news, especially breaking news, and since Elon Musk's takeover, free speech has been allowed back on the platform.

Many can argue that Musk's acquisition of the platform was instrumental in Donald Trump winning the election, as the old Twitter never would have allowed it.

As long as free speech Americans have X, the liberals and progressives can have the rest.
