ESPN host Stephen A Smith called out former First Lady Michelle Obama for contributing significantly to Kamala Harris's defeat in the presidential election.
During an episode of 'The Stephen A Smith Show' podcast, Smith pointed to tone-deaf celebrity endorsements Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift, and Oprah Winfrey as factors that contributed to Harris's failure.
Harris was endorsed by Hollywood celebrities by the dozen and that turned off many Americans struggling with economic hardship who didn't want the opinions of the elite and ultrawealthy.
Smith pointed out Michelle Obama in particular as someone who did serious damage to Harris's campaign with her 'alienation' of male voters.
During a rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Obama took aim at male voters, specifically black male voters, in an attempt to shame them into supporting Harris which led to many male voters going the opposite direction.
Not only did Democrats throw celebrity endorsements in the face of struggling Americans, but they also had the audacity to lecture American men on how they needed to put the interests of women above their own interests.
Smith picked out a quote from Obama where she said that a black man’s “vote for [Trump] is a vote against us." Smith immediately blasted that comment saying, “If we don’t agree with you, we’re against you?"
Smith continued saying, "How do you think the men felt about that? So we have to do what you tell us to do; otherwise, we’re anti-you? You thought that worked? Do y’all know anything about most men? You think that’s going to work?”
Smith, who typically comments on sports, has been on a tear lately doing multiple interviews weighing in on the election with his scathing takedowns of Democrats and their behavior that led to Harris's loss.
During another episode of his podcast, Smith stated, "I expected a tough, tight race. What we witnessed was an annihilation. This was supposed to last, this debate about the election and how many votes, it was supposed to last probably until Thursday, Friday, maybe even into the weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, Fox News called it at 2am."
What was supposed to be a tight race was anything but and Trump achieved a massive political comeback to become just the 2nd president to serve non-consecutive terms, the other being Grover Cleveland.
Harris's loss and the GOP's dominating win has ignited calls among Democrats for soul-searching and change in order to determine what went so horribly wrong. Democrats like Smith are rightly pointing out that shaming voters isn't a sound strategy for winning elections.
However, Smith is very much in the minority as many leftists have determined that they didn't shame male voters enough and that they must become even more radical in order to win.
Leftists have further embraced misandry and even racism in response to nearly half of Latino men voting for Trump.
Unless something changes, the Democrat Party will lose its hold on key minority voter blocks which could make it difficult for Democrats to win any national election.
